E-commerce platforms increasingly compete not only on pricing and product variety, but also on customer experience. One of the biggest gaps in online shopping is the inability to confidently visualize how a product will look before making a purchase.

This creates hesitation in the buying journey and contributes to abandoned carts and avoidable returns. Customers expect more immersive and personalized shopping experiences that reduce uncertainty and make digital commerce feel closer to in-store decision-making.

This project was built to address that challenge by introducing an AI-powered virtual try-on experience designed to improve confidence, engagement, and conversion potential.

The project began by identifying a common e-commerce challenge — customers often hesitate to purchase products online when they cannot confidently visualize how the product will look in real life.

I studied the customer decision journey in digital shopping and mapped where uncertainty affects engagement, conversion, and return behavior.

The initial scope focused on creating a more immersive and interactive product experience that could increase customer confidence during the buying journey.
